Wang Cong expressed disappointment following her UFC 332 loss to Natalia Silva for the vacant women's flyweight title. The fight went the full distance, with Silva securing a decision victory.

Reflecting on the bout, Cong shared on Instagram that she has "regrets" and wished she had approached the fight differently. She specifically mentioned an eye poke in the first round that affected her vision, stating, "The line of sight is blocked... Wait until later to slow down, it’s too slow to enter." She added, "Where to fall, get up, go back and summarize yourself. Come on, try again."

UFC CEO Dana White commented after the event that Cong likely regretted not being more aggressive earlier, a sentiment that appears to be echoed by the fighter herself.

Cong entered UFC 332 on a four-fight win streak, defeating Tracy Cortez, Eduarda Moura, Ariane da Silva, and Bruna Brasil to earn her title shot. Her previous defeat was to Gabriella Fernandes in November 2024.

The future of the women's flyweight division remains uncertain, with former champion Valentina Shevchenko recovering from an injury and aiming to reclaim her title from Silva.
