King Green Mocks Opponent’s Weight Miss Ahead of UFC 332
King Green, a popular figure in the UFC lightweight division, is openly amused by Esteban Ribovics failing to make weight for their upcoming UFC 332 fight.
Green is set to fight Ribovics this Saturday at UFC 332, a lightweight contest on the main card. The event is headlined by a vacant flyweight title bout between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong.
The fight between Green and Ribovics was put in doubt when Ribovics missed the official weigh-in on Friday. He came in at 156.5 lbs and incurred a 20% purse penalty. This marks his first weight miss during his UFC career.
Following Ribovics’ infraction, Green quickly commented on the situation and the potential financial gain from the penalty.
King Green’s Reaction to Ribovics Missing Weight at UFC 332
During a recent KICK stream, Green shared his thoughts on Ribovics’ weigh-in failure.
“My opponent was nowhere to be seen!” Green stated regarding Ribovics.
“I’m getting that 20 percent! I want it in $1 bills. I’ll bring it all back to my girls at the club. They always have these excuses – I took this fight on four weeks’ notice too!”
Green aims to get back to winning ways after securing four consecutive victories, most recently defeating Terrance McKinney at UFC 329. He also has recent finishes against Jeremy Stephens and Daniel Zellhuber.
The Green vs. Ribovics fight is confirmed to proceed at UFC 332. Green has the opportunity to secure another notable win in Salt Lake City.
