Dionatha Santos Tobias Targets Tonglampoon's Chin at ONE Friday Fights 173
Dionatha Santos Tobias believes his speed and precise striking will overcome Tonglampoon FA Group's durability in their strawweight Muay Thai match at ONE Friday Fights 173. The Brazilian fighter, who has secured two finishes in ONE Championship, plans to exploit Tonglampoon's perceived weakness in his chin. Santos Tobias stated that while he has a primary plan to knock out his opponent, he is prepared to adapt and is content with any win.
The 26-year-old Santos Tobias aims for his third consecutive finish in the promotion. He acknowledges Tonglampoon's toughness, leg kicks, and punches but emphasizes his own advantages. "To beat someone, especially in a small-gloves fight, depends on how you feel in the moment," Santos Tobias explained. "I am a guy who has something prepared, but if that one doesn’t work, I have another thing, and then another thing. It depends on how I play chess. I’m going to take advantage of how much faster I am than him, quicker than him, and how my hands are more precise than his."
Regarding potential weaknesses, Santos Tobias pointed directly to Tonglampoon's chin, suggesting it was a factor in recent fights. He also anticipates Tonglampoon might expect him to focus solely on body shots, potentially creating an opening for strikes to the head. "In his last couple of fights, the chin was the problem, so maybe. And I’m sure that he thinks I’m going to punch only the body instead," he commented. "The plan is to knock him out, but if this doesn’t work, I’m happy if I win."
